Wow – rereading that last paragraph again I was a little harsh.
I’m just looking forward to seeing a little more innovation and options with regards to consumer choice.
Love your video posts!
lol…..no way, you weren’t harsh.
Your phone analogy is a good one that I hadn’t thought of.
I tend to agree with you, with the speed at which information flows in today’s world it seems archaic to have a system without much flexibility. I know that opinion might not be popular amongst people with a real estate license but I think it allows both Realtors and consumers to move forward to create new, better relationships.
Thanks for the feedback on the posts, we definitely appreciate your comments.
It’s about time we have some choice within the Ontario/Canadian market with regards to who and how we work with a system that has been in place before I was born. I agree with your statement around developing a system and profiting. But this is a database, and was it really created by the CREA. Or were they just using a standard that was already out there and leveraging their organization.
I know this might sound odd. But I might compare it to buying a landline phone service before deregulation. So I agree with those new opportunities.
And who knows perhaps the MLS service could offer FSBO access, as they already do in SPAIN (AMLASpain). Maybe they invented the MLS?
My 2 cents.
